Skin Resurfacing with Laser
This is the treatment of the surface and medium wrinkles in skin, the color-pigmentation changes and old scars by the use of laser.
Technically with carbon dioxide laser the uppermost layers of the skin is peeled. It is applied in one session. There are also other types of lasers which are used for similar purpose and more surface effective. These types of lasers, instead of the peeling, effect the lower skin layers and are used for the renovation of the skin.
The duration of the attempt is approximately 1 hour. It is applied under intravascular sedation or general anesthesia. Staying in the hospital is not required. Going back to work gets realized in 2 weeks. The pinkness on the face may take 3-6 moths.
Main risks are infection, allergy, sensitivity to sun and make-up materials, reappearance of the past herpes, color-pigmentation changes, burns, and sometimes permanent scars.
