The Greatest Risk Is Infection
Those who want to have silicon in their hips, think well… Those who want to possess the rear of Jennifer Lopez like the model Aysu Baceoğlu several problems await them. Infection, aching masses, asymmetric appearance, silicon leaking or breaking out are only some ofthese.
While the result of the aesthetic operation model Aysu Baceoğlu had performed to possess the rear of Jennifer Lopez was being awaited with curiosity, the question of the soundness of this method created debate. Head of Anadolu Health Center Plastic and Reconstructive Section Op.Dr.Tuğrul Kihtir answered our questions on the topic.
*How many operations do you apply for hip aesthetics?
The methods used for the hip are variable. Liposuction is the mostly utilized method in the shaping of the hip. In liposuction when the fat underneath is removed, if the skin is healthy, it receives a perfect appearance. If the skin has lost its elasticity, sagged by the forming of overage then liposuction alone by itself is not sufficient; in that condition we utilize the excisional technique, that is we apply this if there are sagged portions in the hip. Liposuction and excisional surgical techniques aim at the reduction of volume. Third method is the augmentation method. This method, supplies the gaining of volume to the hip; it is utilized for the largening of the hips. Since it is not natural, generally it is not applied frequently. Because when sit on the hips a sensation which is not natural can be felt. Other than this it can render several problems from medical points.
*Is it a risky operation?
As it is in every operation this has the risk also. The main risk is the infection. Aching bodies that come to hand called granulome can be formed. The appearance my be distorted as a result of change of place of the prosthesis. In time it can come out by pressing the skin above especially after the infection. Even if everything goes well the asymmetry situations which can especially disturb the patients can evolve. Because of this augmentation surgery with prosthesis is not very desirable. The silicon prostheses have the risk of forming aching capsule nearly 20-40 percent when there is a foreign material in the body, the body identifying it forms a cover tissue around it. This is called the granulome. If this capsule reaction is too much or a condition of what we may call the latent infection is present, this natural capsule may create a problem.
